About

The principal contributor to this website is Bill Adams.

Bill recently retired from having served for over 33 years in the ministry at French Camp Academy, a school and home dedicated to ministering to teenagers, mostly from broken homes and broken family relationships.  While serving in the ministry at French Camp Academy, he also served for nineteen years as the Pastor of Houlka Presbyterian Church, a congregation of dedicated believers located in rural North Mississippi.  After retiring from the pastorate at Houlka Presbyterian Church, Bill joined the First Baptist Church of Kosciusko.

After attending the First Baptist Church for a while, Bill accepted a position as Pastor at the West Union Presbyterian Church in Louisville, Mississippi, where he served as Pastor for four years.  Now, recently retired again, Bill hopes to continue with the ministry on this website, providing weekly blog posts similar in content to those given in sermons at the churches he has served.

Through the posts of the weekly sermons given through the years at Houlka Presbyterian Church and at West Union Presbyterian Church, and now through articles and blog posts, it is the desire and intent of this website that the Lord Jesus be made more fully known and fully realized in each believer’s heart.

The manner of presentation of the teachings of the Lord Jesus is a simple one.  A Book of the Bible is chose, and then each week those truths are given and expounded upon verse by verse week by week, following on to the completion of that particular Book.  And then, another Book of the Bible is chosen and the study begins again.

Special emphasis is given to revealing the reality that as believers in Christ, we are actually and literally “Living in God’s Presence” every moment of every day.  His presence is eminently “real” and the experience of that “joy unspeakable” is available to each of us.  The Spirit of Christ who has been given to all who are truly “Born Again” brings with Him an enabling power by which we can know and experience the deep and intimate love that the Lord Jesus has for us His beloved ”Bride”.  And by His Spirit, we can experience a genuine and personal relationship with Him and can know His intimate presence, not just “among us”, but intimately “within our soul”.

    • Susan, Perhaps a more important question is, “Is God really ‘here'”. “Here” is more important to us in our frail and needful condition. The Lord Jesus (God) came to be a part of humanity for that very reason, so that He could be with us forever and always in every circumstance of life (He said lo I am with you always until the end of the age). As He ascended into heaven, He gave us His Holy Spirit to abide within us. And for those who receive Him as Savior and Lord, His Spirit is personally and intimately engaging with our spirit at every moment, giving us peace and comfort and guidance, especially in our times of trouble and suffering. So then, the answer to your question is simply “Yes”. Bill
